Women Living Abroad Group

The aim of this group is to be in a safe and inspiring place where you can share your experiences of living abroad, take part in discussions and connect with others with the goal of promoting personal growth.

Dealing with the struggles of moving abroad, adjusting to a new culture, being away from home/family, maybe leaving your own career/work behind, building a new network of friends etc, can be difficult and isolating whether you are alone or with a partner.

With evidence based interventions and the guidance of an experienced therapist and owner of Turning Point. Veronica Lax will work with different topics that are common concerns of women living abroad.

Swedish lessons for beginners

New to Sweden or ready to finally learn the language? Our Swedish for Beginners class is tailored towards internationals who want practical, everyday communication skills. You’ll learn essential vocabulary, pronunciation, and common phrases to help you navigate daily life. This is an interactive class that focuses on real-life conversations and building confidence, so you can feel more at home in Sweden faster. No prior knowledge needed – just curiosity and willingness to practice and learn.

Our podcast is launched!

We started this podcast to further reach out and support the international expat community in Sweden. Our aim is to discuss different topics that are of common concerns for expats with the guidance of experienced therapists and evidence-based interventions. Our colleagues will share their insights and knowledge from their psychotherapeutic work. Our podcast will also include interviews with expats regarding their experience of living abroad in accordance with the topics we address.
